Assalam-o-alaikum
Thank you for lending me your valuable attention.
Through this correspondence, I intend to take our initiative of participatory public service to the next level. This outreach is also sent with the purpose to invite you in process of making Islamabad, a model metropolis.
Allow me to share with you, some recent developments.
You will be pleased to know that under the umbrella of “Own Islamabad” initiative we are already spearheading towards achieving greater goals of public welfare, social service and civic efficiencies. The idea is to collectively take the ownership of our city.
To inspire and invite the affluent amongst us to this progressive concept of participatory development, I have set a humble example by personally upgrading the Islamabad Model School for Girls Bekhan Syedan, F-11/3. As a key chapter of our initiative, with pulic participation, we will be upgrading and restructuring the Islamabad model Schools, branch after branch.
On account of health; we are committed to ensuring the provision of free medicine at all public health facilities of the federal Capital. 100% functionality of clean drinking water facilities have also been ensured, i have personally visited every filtration plant and have taken corrective measures on the spot. In addition, we have also upgraded the technological capacity of some our public health facilities to better care for our citizens.
To overcome the water scarcity issue which comes to us with inherent challenges of lack of decision making of past decades and the entangled energy crisis; we are procuring new water pupms which will increase the gallons of water pumped out. For the longer run, we have signed an MOU with a chinese firm for laying a long-lasting water channel from Ghazi Barotha to Islamabad.
I must also mention the will and committment of our national leadership towards the inhabitants of Islamabad. The honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan, himself lately inaugurated 3 mega projects of refurbishment of F9 Park; Art and Craft Village; and Diagnostic Center in CDA Hospital. The Premier has graciously performed the ground breaking of anothe 3 significant projects which include construction of 11th Avenue; the Margalla Avenue and the Expansion of Kashmir Highhway. Establishment of the massive capacity sewerage plant; upgradation of the Katchi Abadis; Installation of the energy efficient and environment friendly LED street lights; and refurbishment as well as landscaping of the less-developed sectors are also some of the instrumental initiatives on the roll.
To instill positive energy and to direct our brimming youth towards avenues of growth and development; we are building Islamabad’s first ever world class cricket stadium. Rest assured, that as days pass by, we will create more healthy prospects and avenues of opportunities for our young and rising.
At the culmination of this brief deliberation, I urge you to come join our state-patronized team of self-motivated citizens. Come with ideas and suggestions, even criticism and complaints. Come with ambition and resolve. For I believe that by coming together and joining hands we set our sails for making life smile, succeed, sustain and stay equitable. Your contributions can help own a school, a hospital, a public facility or perhaps any component of these. Afterall little by little, one by one – we can build it all and build it better together.
Sincerely at your service,
for making Islamabad…
a model metropolis
